We were skeptical at first, but it definitely works! This are the results after 2 days using the products. No cap.
My family had just moved into a new house and while we were moving in, we left the doors and windows open, so a lot of bugs came into the house and I hate bugs more than anything! So I bought 3 Shieldeck traps, and after just a few days I saw all the glue pads filled with bugs and the house bug free. I'm so happy with our new house now!
My baby girl was being bitten by mosquitoes in her sleep, so I did some research and found the Walltrap. I plugged it in her room, and since then I haven't seen any more bites on her now! I'm grateful for it.
I purchased three of them to tackle an ongoing fruit fly infestation in my building. They are effective! Their appearance is appealing and unobtrusive. More importantly, flies are drawn to them and will consistently become attached to the removable/disposable sticky pad and perish. I'm very happy with my purchase.
Helped me stay sane. No lie. This thing is much better than any homemade trap at catching them.
I am amazed by how well this bug catcher thing works. I literally fixed my problem with these little bugs that are always drawn to my monitor and I can never catch. So, if you need a machine like this, I definitely think you should give the Shieldeck a try! Thanks
Although I wasn't sure if it would work or not, I must admit that I am impressed! Gnats in the summer have always been a problem for us. That shouldn't be a problem anymore, in my opinion! This technology is excellent! I will be probably buying more soon.
I bought this item because I had a problem with fruit flies in my kitchen. After setting it up and putting apple cider vinegar in a small water bottle cap in the bottom of the trap, it was turned on and left running overnight. It had already caught a dozen or so of these pesky bugs by morning. I've tried bug zappers, but this trap works better. I think this is a good way to catch fruit flies. Also, don't forget to pour bleach down the drain of your kitchen sink at night, when you won't be using it, and cover the drains. Most of the time, these bugs live in the pipes under the sink drain. And don't let them drink or breed in places where there is standing water.
How scary is it that I found so many bugs on the sticky pads? This works like a charm.
Mosquitoes have been a HUGE problem for me. Like this item a lot. Looked after it. In my bathroom, there are two sinks, but I only use one of them. They reproduce. Well, you can keep breeding, because I know what to do. If you buy this, you won't regret it.
Setting this up and using it was a breeze. I have a problem with mosquitoes getting into my Florida apartment in the winter, but this device caught them all within a day or two! Don't bite me while I sleep anymore!
This bug catcher really works! I'm embarrassed to show the picture to anyone. We live in Hawaii, and a lot of bugs come into our home through the air handler and drains. They'd drive me crazy. I didn't know we had so many in our house in only 10 days. And this is the only one we keep on the second floor in the hallway. We also have one downstairs by the sink in our kitchen. Buy this if you have problems with gnats, mosquitoes, fruit flies, etc. You won't be sorry.
Just kills bugs where it is. Banana fruit flies can't come back. I had stopped buying bananas. There aren't any mosquitoes either. Now No problem. Things are good.
Product is effective and quiet
The first time I used it, I left it in my living room overnight, and the next day, my whole house was clean. I like it so much that I want to buy a few more to put in each room. Strongly suggest it
My wife and I have been wondering if there was anything out there to get rid of gnats. Then we came across this. If you've ever been so annoyed by that annoying little gnat that keeps hovering right in front of your face as if daring you to swat it, this is the book for you. If you know that if you hit him, you're more likely to hit yourself in the face or knock your glasses off, then you need this sweet little gift to mankind right here. This thing is, in a word, "Shieldeck!" People, it works, it just works!
Gets just about everything with wings.
It's been 5 days. I started an organic garden, but it's hard to keep them in order right now because of the heat and humidity. So, between my incense and this, I've only seen one flying around.
Our neighbors have a compost pile in their yard, and in the summer, the flies and gnats are OUT OF CONTROL. When I let my dogs out or step onto the back patio, it's disgusting because there are flies everywhere. I'm glad I don't own my home, because if I did, I'd be furious! We hang fly bags along the fence line, and they work great, too. This Katchy is great inside the house. It catches all kinds of flies, from mosquitoes to gnats to fruit flies. During the warmer months, we leave it on all night, and it's still working. Does a great job!
Sometimes there are fruit flies in my apartment, and I've been trying to find a way to get rid of them. I wasn't sure if this would really work, so I was hesitant to buy it, but I'm so glad I did! I've found that it works best at night and when there are no fans or air conditioners in the area where you put it.
The fan's high pitch is the only thing I don't like about the product. Once it caught most of the bugs and some I didn't even know I had, I only wear it at night so I don't hear the pitch. I put it next to the AeroGardens, so I had to change when the AeroGardens got light so there would be some darkness at night. Yes, it does catch bugs, but you can't tell unless you look at the bottom of the thing.
a must-have if you live in Florida during the summer.
I bought one for each room of my apartment. How well they work is amazing. This is a purchase you won't regret.
This one is a big step up from the last one I bought. This one has a night mode that only turns on when it's dark. My other brand stays on all the time, which will definitely burn out the motor fast.
We were doubtful and slow to buy it, but we're glad we did. If you put it in a dark place, it will catch mosquitoes (see the picture). I'll use the sheets from a lint roller instead of the sticky sheets that the company sells because I think they cost way too much for what they are. This new type of small mosquitoes bites my wife, but they don't bother me. This is much better than citronella candles because it gets rid of them instead of just making them uncomfortable. We really like this product for getting rid of mosquitoes.
After reading all the reviews, I ordered this and was surprised by how well it works. It says that it doesn't work on flies, but we caught two of them with it. I'll buy another one for our bathroom.
I wasn't sure about buying this product after reading a few bad reviews that said it didn't work. But there were more good reviews, so I decided to give it a shot. This is the very best thing ever!! I would occasionally see a few gnats flying around the house, but I never thought I had a problem with them. This thing catches so many gnats and has even caught flies and mosquitoes that got in the house. Buying it is a good idea. At first, you may not see many bugs getting caught, but give it a few days. It's also true that it works better at night.
It really does work!
After three days, almost all of the fruit flies had been caught. My only suggestion is that when you need to change the sticky pad, make sure there are no fruit flies still flying around in the device.
It works better at night. If you put them near your biggest problem, they will go right to it. They stick to the bottom of the device, where there is a sticky pad.
On day one, I turned this thing on and put it on the counter in the bathroom. When I checked it the next day, the sticky pad had about 20 of these muthabuggers stuck to it, dead as a doorknob (I think that's a saying, right?)! The next morning? Twenty more of the muthabuggers are done. In short, if you have a problem with biting bugs, get this bug-biting thing and you won't be disappointed!
So glad to have bought this. No longer bothered by these tiny bugs
All good things about this product. It works very well to control the number of gnats and fruit flies. I would recommend this product in every way!
product is good.
As soon as I turned it on, it started catching flies and mosquitoes. I bought a second device so that I could take it on vacation with me.
Helps a lot to get rid of the black flies that live in the plant soil and lay their eggs there. Works at night so it doesn't get in the way of everyday life. Will also get rid of mosquitoes and other flying pests that may get into the house.
This is a great gadget that won't let you down.
Since I live in San Diego, California, there aren't many bugs or mosquitos around. Some nights it doesn't catch anything, but other nights it catches a lot. I love that I can kill without using poison. It only works at night and makes a low-level purple hum and light. It has two settings, but the higher setting is always what we use. It's easy to put together. Take the paper off of one of the sticky boards, stick it where you want it, and plug it in. You have to use it in a dark room, but it works even if there are some soft lights on in the room. We've been having better luck lately when we put it on the floor in our bedroom instead of the dresser.
At first, I wasn't sure, but I was tired of dealing with apple cider vinegar traps for fruit flies. This really works! The problem with fruit flies was solved in a day or two. I only see them in the trap and not flying around anymore.
I was skeptical when I bought this, but it turned out to be one of the best mosquito traps I've bought in a long time. Good with money. It also gets the mosquitoes' young. You can catch anything with it. Florida is the mosquito capital of the world, and this is a pretty cool thing.
It caught about 10 gnats in just a few hours (during the day). So far, it's caught a little more than 30 gnats in less than 24 hours. So far, I'm very pleased.
At night, when all the other lights were off, we put this in the kitchen. Almost every single fruit fly was caught. It works great!
It was not possible to load the media.
No bother. works just as planned. A day later, I ordered a second unit for another part of the house! Enjoy it. Strongly suggest. Even though the box was broken and the seal was broken when it arrived, the unit didn't look used, so I tried it anyway, and it worked great!
Since one of the windows was broken, there were a lot of gnats in the house. We used this product after closing the window and not even a day later, the sticky tape was full of bugs. It's so quiet that we hardly know it's there. Very happy, and it was all worth it.
Best investment for my bedroom. The first night, I caught a lot of gnats, and the bites on my skin got less painful. Doesn't work on flies, but I did catch one ant. I will get my revenge. Those fools who bit people to get blood got what they deserved. They wanted too much and ended up "in a sticky situation." It's easy to use, and it comes with four sticky pads. It is quiet and still does its job. I'm happy with what I bought.
I didn't think this product would catch them as well as it does.
catches the fruit flies, mosquitoes, and knats. We're glad we bought it, and it doesn't use much electricity. The light in the kitchen is pretty bright at night, so it's attracting bugs from all over. I'll look into other options for the sticky pads since the price of the brand-name ones seems a bit high, but for now, we're very happy we bought this.
Had a gnat problem. Found out that the kids forgot to take the water container out of the floor mop and were getting a lot of gnats. This worked 24 hours a day for two weeks and got every last one of those little suckers. It's quiet, and I've even caught a few flies. We'll see how well it works for mosquitoes in the summer.
It seems like most bug catchers like this get mixed reviews, so I wasn't sure if I should buy it. But I've used it for a few weeks and it's better than I thought it would be. We have a problem with gnats and mosquitoes outside, and when we open the screen door, they come in. I started by putting it on a table outside (in a covered area) near where the gnats seemed to gather. Until it got dark, then I turned it on. It was covered in the morning, and by the next day, it was covered so much that the new ones that got sucked in had nowhere to stick. Since it's impossible to get rid of all bugs outside, we've started using it inside when bugs get in. It does catch them inside, too, but you have to turn it on when the room is dark, or else the light won't attract as many of them. Not hard to clean out; just open the bottom over the trash can, slide a new sticky trap in place, and you're done. Only two small requests. I wish the traps didn't cost as much and were bigger so I could catch even more. The price was well worth it, and I might buy a second one.
I use this to catch fruit flies that like to hang out near the fruit in my kitchen, and it caught so many! The best results come when you leave it on all night.
If you're like me, you swell up when a mosquito bites you, and they've been getting so bad in my area.
Our bigger bug UV light trap broke, so I bought this one with skepticism, wondering if it would work as well. To my surprise, it did. I put this unit here in our screened-in pool area in Florida, where gnats still seem to get through the screen. After about a month, the sticky pad was PACKED with gnats that had been caught on it. It must work, right? need to buy more adhesive pads...
Great Bug and Gnat Products! It's perfect for my indoor garden!
You can tell it works well because bugs are sticking to the glue tape. It has stopped mosquitoes from being a pain in the bedroom.
I really like this! The first night we used it, it caught six mosquitoes and a fruit fly in our house. We live on water in Texas, so there are a lot of mosquitoes. Every time we killed five, ten more would come in when the door was opened (They were attracted to my fall wreath which we eventually took down). I strongly suggested this. The first night, we left it running all night.
I've had it in my house for a long time, and as promised, it catches all the small bugs.
Yesterday, I got. Set up in my kitchen so that fruit flies and mosquitoes can't get into the house. And there were lots of mosquitoes this morning. Not a lot of fruit flies.
Give it time….. I was shocked by this.
I put it behind my indoor plant that had bugs, and I also put yellow sticky traps in the soil. I left it on for three days, and it caught the gnats well. It's a little loud, so I might not use it in my bedroom. There is a low-fan setting that is quieter, but I haven't used it because I like more power. Warning: Open the trap's bottom outside. When I opened mine, a few of the live ones flew out.
I'm kind of obsessed with it because I just leave it on and it does its job. It caught bugs overnight, and I'm so glad to see them all go. Strongly suggest
works just as promised. When the screen door is left open, little bugs like flies and mosquitoes come in. I'm happy to just turn this on and let it run all night without having to worry about it.
From reading the reviews, I'm sure that the people who gave it one star were just too stupid to know not to put a glueboard (which was in the box) in the unit. And you won't catch anything if you don't have it. This is my second trap; I got a second one because the first one worked so well. Now I can move them wherever I need to. I live in Southern California, and for the first time, there are mosquitos that are very fast and sharp. They get their name because they hang around near the floor. So I put my traps on the floor, and you guessed it, those sticky glueboards grab their dirty little feet and won't let go. Completely Awesome!! If you live in Southern California and know how to use it, it's really a great product...
I just moved to Texas, and since my apartment is near a river, there are naturally a lot of bugs and mosquitoes flying around. I put the Katchy in my kitchen, and it fixed the problem right away. No more bug bites or bugs flying around and landing on my fruit or anywhere else. Strongly suggest.
I wasn't sure if this would work and was skeptical, but WOW. It's amazing how many fruit flies this thing catches. I've been dealing with a fruit fly problem lately, and it's crazy how many flies I catch. The sticky sheet was almost completely full in a week. I'm even thinking about getting another one to put in the upstairs!
Excellent item! The picture I attached shows how it looked after 24 hours. I tried other things, like the little traps made of dish soap and vinegar, but nothing worked. Aside from this, I've never caught a bug with anything else. I open it and enjoy seeing all the dead bugs inside. They've been a problem for me for far too long. I put this thing next to the sink, and every night I get some. I also have a cupboard where I keep my trash can. When the door is closed, it is always dark inside the cupboard. Any time of day, I can put this in the cupboard and quickly get a lot of bugs. I also tried putting vinegar or small pieces of fruit inside this trap, but that didn't help. It seems to work best when I just turn it on and let it go.
I have nothing bad to say about this unit.
Does what it says, and bugs love it, but it kills them.
This is one of the best things I've ever bought. In South Florida, there are a lot of gnats and mosquitoes. I put this on the counter in the kitchen, and it's been working great. Look at the picture I've added. Every few days, I switch out the glue board.
I had a lot of fruit flies in my house. They were everywhere. I used this one night, and when I woke up the next morning, they were all stuck in there. Definitely suggest
This is really cool. My plants were being eaten by a TON of gnats. It got rid of all the gnats in my house in just two days. Would without a doubt recommend.
This is the best thing ever. I tried everything to get rid of gnats, like red wine and apple cider, but nothing worked. I only bought this as a last resort, but I WISH I had bought it earlier. It caught all of those gnats after a week and a half.
This little trap kills mosquitoes in the house so well. Because our problem is so big, I'm going to buy one for every room. I also like how, when the room is dark, the top has a soft purple glow. It's warm. I love, love, love this item.
catches mosquitoes and other small bugs that fly.
This product says that it will work in what, three days? I was able to use it RIGHT AWAY. I have a problem with gnats because I live in a bad house in the south, where it's hot and humid, and if I leave even a little bit of something wet out, they come in swarms. I put the device on the lowest setting and went shopping. When I came back, a few had already been put in. I looked at it every now and then, and each time I did, I saw more and more. It really does work well, and it's very easy to set up. It's also very light, so it's not too heavy, and the light is beautiful. Lol10/10 would recommend!
I got rid of the small, annoying gnats and mosquitoes in just a few days.
This really works There are so many dead bugs that could have bitten my husband or my son. So glad we got this item. I wouldn't pay attention to the bad reviews! I'm sure glad I didn't. It is right next to our slider and window.
This thing does a great job of catching mosquitoes and other small flying bugs. I keep one in my bedroom, where it stays on almost all the time. When I leave the house, I turn it off to give it a break. Will probably buy more to place strategically around my house near doors.
This works great, especially at night when we leave it on in the kitchen and if there was a fly, it's on the trap when we wake up.
At night, mosquitoes have been eating me alive. They woke me up at 1:30 in the morning two nights ago. I figured Amazon must have something that could help me. That was Kathy! The first night I plugged it in, it caught those little die-offs (much to my amazement). There they were on the sticky disk, dead and dying. Oh, what joy! The fan is as quiet as a mouse. It's easy to put the disk in. Look at the video. The fan is being run. You can't go wrong. And I love getting sleep at night.
This works really well! I got rid of the gnats in my office in two days.
I didn't think this would work as well as it does. Bought a second one! It starts to really work after about 3 days.
This thing is great! I wasn't sure at first, but now the fruit flies are gone!
This works really well. I'm about to buy more sticky pads for it. I used this to get rid of gnats on my plants, and it works very well to attract bugs. It's easy to use, but you'll need a plug where you want to use it. I would definitely suggest!
Way better than I thought something like this would work. It won't get rid of them all, but if a fruit fly is drawn to it and flies close to the top, it will eat it. The manufacturer said it wouldn't catch a house fly, but to my surprise, it did. I like this.
It caught gnats and mosquitoes in just a few hours...
All kinds of small bugs get caught in this machine. I've had a few mosquitos, flies, and fruit flies. After our big storm, there were lots of tiny flies that looked like fruit flies. Most of them are caught by this device.
We had a terrible gnat problem this summer so far because of the heat and humidity. We tried some of the social media suggestions that didn't work, and then we saw an article about Shieldeck. We started using it the first night, and after three or four days, there hasn't been a single gnat in our house. We know we'll use it all summer long and whenever we need to. Great thing!! We strongly suggest it for any small flying bug!!
It did work. But for the best performances, the place should be dark.
I bought this six hours ago, set it up, and plugged it in right in the middle of my plants. I know it says it works best at night, but I already have six or more guests on the sticky pad! I really hope this solves my fruit fly problem, because I'm sick of being attacked by them!
This product looks great in my plant room. It was easy to use, and it caught a lot of bugs I didn't even know I had. Would strongly suggest!
We've had this for a while, and it works great as long as the vents and fan are clean and most of the lights in the room are turned off at night. Since we keep it in the kitchen, the oils from cooking tend to make it get dirty faster than if we kept it in the living room. But it works great in all rooms, and we are surprised at how big some of the bugs it catches are!
It has already caught 18 flies since it was set up two days ago. Have tried other so-called "fly catchers," but this one makes them all look bad.
When it got here, I thought, "What did he buy?" (My husband) We put it under our bed and caught so many mosquitoes the first night and several nights after that. It was taken on the first night. It's great and really does work. It's the only thing that has worked for us in the 20 years we've lived in this house.
It hasn't given me any trouble. It catches insects, which is all I need it to do.
When we used it for the first time in our camper, lots of bugs got in. Even though I forgot to include a sticky note, it didn't matter. By morning, no bugs were flying around, and there were a lot of dead ones in the tray. This is not a zapper, so the only sound is a very quiet fan.
It only took two seconds to set up, and the sticky pads were easy to put in and take out. I'm surprised at how well it works.
When you open the death trap to get your prize, it's like Christmas every day. So far, after three days, this is what we have. Haven't seen any new bites in our house either in the last few nights. Maybe this scary purple light really does work and draw the little bloodsuckers to it!
