I've tried a lot of different ways to get rid of the fruit flies and gnats, but nothing has worked. This worked right away when I tried it. It can catch even the smallest bugs. The price is a good deal. I bought more so I could put them in different rooms.
Jonathan
We got this to put in our bedroom because our daughter kept getting bit when she was in her crib. This thing really works well. The first night, it caught a few mosquitoes that had gotten into our room. We recommend it!
Jessica
This was easy to set up and gets rid of the problem AMAZING! We didn't believe it would work, but we were willing to do anything to get rid of these tiny gnats, AND IT WORKED! Thanks!
Abigail
This device works well to catch mosquitoes, moths, and other insects. The sticky pad makes it very easy to clean the trap, and the catcher is completely noiseless. Will buy another one!
Georgia
It's so nice to find something that does what it says it will do. If you want to catch fruit flies, put some apple cider vinegar near the trap. It's crazy how drawn they are to the stuff! The trap will handle the rest. In a few days, the trap will be filled with all the bugs.
Gabriella
This thing seems to work pretty well! As they say, it works better at night for sure. We've tried a lot of natural solutions, but none of them work as well. We're on the second day, and they're almost all gone. We strongly suggest.
Michael P.
This product worked right away and was easy to set up.
Austin
I am amazed by how well this bug catcher thing works. I literally fixed my problem with these little bugs that are always drawn to my monitor and I can never catch. So, if you need a machine like this, I definitely think you should give the Shieldeck a try! Thanks!
Akbar Briggs
My only question is whether it will last.
Elsie Magana
Several companies make devices that are similar. The first business I went with sucked, but not in a good way. I would have said that the Shieldeck units I bought were effective even before I added green gobbler to my arsenal to kill the fruit/drain/sewer/whatever flies in my drains and drive the survivors out. This seemed to cause many flies to fly out of my basement drain and into the "loving arms" of Shieldeck I had set up there. The picture below shows what happened to them.
Nabeela Brett
This gnat catcher worked when none of the other ones did. I tried all the liquid gnat catchers that usually work. I guess these gnats were not like the others.
Tanner Carr
Katchy works really well! This will get rid of the bugs in your home.
Millie-Mae Washington
Right now, this thing is keeping me sane. No matter how clean I keep my house, I can't figure out where the gnats are coming from. Works even better than I had hoped. I'll probably get a second one so I don't have to keep moving it from room to room.
Cillian Cano
They are good. Gnats, fruit flies, house flies, Asian lady bugs! Attracts all of them. Spent money wisely!
Margaux Lennon
I really like this item. We get gnats because we have plants inside, and when we open and close the back door for our dogs, we get flies. I didn't believe it at first, but it really does draw bugs quickly and easily. Every night when I turn it on, I find that the fly from the day before has been caught. The pad sticks like crazy. Even though I don't have a big bug problem, I've been using the same pad for a year, and it's still sticky. Moths and mosquitoes are even drawn to it.
Marta Cobb
It's good. There is no higher praise for something that kills mosquitoes.
Naomi Plummer
Our yard is full of bugs, and when we let the dog in and out at night, they all crowd around the back door. I turned this on, but it didn't seem to do much at first. I left it on near the back door overnight, and the next morning I COULD NOT BELIEVE the damage on the disk. Day 1: I was very impressed.
Hadley Oakley
The best way to catch knats. Enjoy it. You should get one. No more annoying flying knats
Marianne Buckner
We've tried everything to get rid of the mosquitoes on our porch. I bought this on prime day, but it's still a great deal now! And in just two days, she cought hundreds of mosquitos. I'm not hearing anything. They go in, but they never come out! Finally! Something that actually works!! You won't be sorry you bought this.
Gillian Devlin
The first few times I used it, I didn't believe it would work, but then I noticed that it works better at night or when the lights around it are darker than the built-in bait light. Example: I turned off the lights in the kitchen, and it caught a big fly in less than 3 (!) seconds. That's when I knew I had to get another one right away. It's not very good during the day or in the morning, but it works well once the sun goes down. I like it - I see moskitos and flies inside - it works. I'd say it works 70 percent of the time.
Ivo Xiong
I wasn't sure how this would work, but after a week of leaving it in my bedroom, I found moths, mosquitoes, fruit flies, and flies all covered in it! Yay!!
Roxanne Langley

Tadhg Simmonds
It works. I keep it next to my trash can, which is where the flies like to hang out. I saw a fly stuck to the paper that was a crane. Not what I was expecting...
Tasnia Chandler
One is a must in every kitchen.
Menna Ferguson
So, I bought this in 2021 because I had a problem with fruit flies in the kitchen. I put it on the kitchen counter and liked how it turned out. Today, my kids accidentally left a banana peel and who knows what else under their bathroom sink. For my own sanity, I won't clean or use their bathroom. So, when I walked in, I saw a few fruit flies flying around. When I opened their cabinet, I found hundreds of disgusting bugs. So I made them clean out whatever was under their sink and then put the Shieldeck in the bathroom on standard power, turned off the bathroom lights, and shut the door. I left it on for two days with the doors closed. The picture shows half of what was caught. The other half was in a bowl of vinegar solution I also put in the bathroom. Like the title says, it was worth the money, and I would buy it again and again. More than happy!
Digby Person
Holy crap, this thing was great. There were fruit flies in three spots in my house. In a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. I mean many, many of them. This thing probably killed 400 of them. I love it. Would HIGHLY suggest it!
Summer-Louise Oconnell
This is the third thing I buy. The first time I went, I loved it so much that I bought two more tickets for friends.
Lillia Salgado
THIS WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE. From 2018 to 2021, the window screens were always broken (there was no air conditioning and I love to cook), and the bugs came for me. This is a real tank! I don't have pictures because it was gross, but it killed everything from tiny flies to mosquitoes to moths, and even the occasional housefly. I once left it over the weekend with the windows open, and when I came back on Monday, the pad was all black and I thought I had forgotten to replace it. THIS WILL SAVE LIVES AND IS A BEAUTY. User experience: The hum of the fly slayer can be heard even when all is quiet. Low setting is for people who like bugs. The glue traps only work for a few weeks, after which they don't work as well. I have seen houseflies come and go from a dry trap. Last, look for lint on your fans. I decided to "set it and forget it," and when I pulled it out of the dryer, it looked like that tray. But honestly, these fans with their noises muffled still kick bug butt! I don't feel bad about giving them to the place where I volunteer, and I'm thinking of getting us another!
Jena Stephens
I was willing to try anything because there were annoying flying "critters" in the kitchen and other parts of the house that I couldn't figure out where they came from. No food or fruit came out, and nothing seemed to be coming out of the drains. Picture shows what happened 8 hours later. The directions say to wait three days for results... I was able to use a kooky device. I only saw two or three of them flying at once. Pulled insects seen and unseen. It's light and easy to use! Next stop... up!
Connagh Bowden
It has caught full-sized flies in my apartment, but I bought it to get rid of the annoying fruit flies. It's crazy how many people use this thing!!! You won't be dissatisfied.
Abbi Davey

Crystal Arnold
Okay, absolutely, yes! Since then, I haven't been bitten, but this summer will be the real test. I hope there are no mosquitoes this year because it has been a nightmare in the past.
Taiba Floyd
Small fruit flies were a problem for us. We tried everything to get rid of them, but nothing worked. They seem to be in our grocery stores, so we bring them in with fruit. I bought this thing on a whim, but I wasn't sure it would work. It took three days, but now there are no more fruit flies, and when the kids left the front door open, it even caught a few mosquitoes. If you have a problem with flying bugs in your house, I would highly recommend this.
Albert Rich
I'm getting a handle on them.
Madelyn Chester
Have annoying gnats or fruit flies getting in your face? Tired of hitting yourself in the face when you try to get rid of them? Grab this "gnatmageddon" machine and laugh like a madman as the chamber fills up. And as a special bonus! It will also catch the one mosquito that shows up each day. 10/10, I'd catch them again!
Seren Norman
This thing works just right. I really got it because there were a few bugs that would sometimes bother me. My wife and daughter would tell me to "get it" usually in the middle of a good game or show. So I thought, Let's try this and see if it kills the one or two bugs that fly around every now and then. I was shocked and happy to find a lot more than one or two bugs. The first night I left it on in the kitchen, at least 10 bugs were caught while I was sleeping. I put it in my garage for a while, and it caught even more bugs. I think the key is darkness and not making any noise. I turn it on at night, and there are no bugs during the day. I usually leave it in the garage when I go to work in the morning. Just keeps the place free of flying bugs while I work there later. All in all, it was a very good buy. No fumes or smell. I keep it on the highest level, but it doesn't make much noise. I'm glad I made the purchase.
Zahid Coles
I was getting bit by mosquitoes at night while I was sleeping, so I knew they were hiding somewhere in my house. I found this here on Amazon and thought the price was a little high, but I bought it anyway. It was money well spent. So many mosquitoes and other small flying bugs have been caught by it. I bought a second one and leave it running in my living room every night. It's an incredible little machine. Katchy, thanks for making this!
Jordan Mill
In the summer, there are a lot of fruit flies and gnats in the kitchen and office. We've tried a lot of different traps that sometimes work, but none of them have been as effective as Katchy. It's a simple device that's easy to use and has an effect. We caught everything shown in the picture in the first three months. Even though we haven't seen any new ones yet, we still run it every night. We really like it and would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy way to get rid of pests.
Hal Clayton
Does what it's meant to do!
Paisley Bone
This has been better than expected. Not only does it attract bugs well, but it also works quickly and the light isn't too bright. It really catches a lot of different bugs, even more than I thought were in my house. The only problem is that it only comes with four sticky traps. It should come with ten, but you can buy more separately.
Jill Tang
Don't worry about it. leave, and voila! From mosquitoes to moths, the nats are all in the bucket.
Maksim Schultz
Great product that works well and is easy to use. A little bit noisy, but that has no effect on performance. Well Done!
Peter Mcconnell
My bedroom's best purchase. The first night, I caught a lot of gnats, and the bites on my skin got less painful. Doesn't work on flies, but I did catch one ant. Vengeance is mine. Those fools who bit people to get blood got what they deserved. They wanted too much and ended up "in a sticky situation." It's easy to use, and it comes with four sticky pads. It is quiet and still does its job. I'm happy with what I bought.
Tashan Mccullough
Even though it's been a year, this zapper is still going strong. If it stopped working, I'd buy it again.
Katie-Louise Norris
I thought this was a good idea, and it turned out to be so. We've had a problem with gnats for years, but this has completely fixed it. It doesn't just catch gnats; it also catches flies. Best money I've spent in ages!
Leonidas Carlson
If you bring your plants inside for the winter,
Corinne Gilbert
For some reason, gnats are everywhere this year. I tried putting apple cider vinegar in a jar, but it didn't work very well. When I used Shieldeck for the first time, it did wonders. When I looked at the sticky pad the next morning, it was full! I just did what the directions said, which were clear and simple. Great thing. I need to get more cat food for Shieldeck.
Aysha Kaur
Fruit flies were a problem because my wife has a lot of house plants. Got this little guy and no more. Simple to use and set up. I wasn't sure at first, but now I'm not. It's very quiet and looks cool with the UV bulb. We strongly suggest it!
Brodie Lyon
Over the years, we've tried a lot of different techniques to get rid of the fruit and house flies that appear with the warm weather. Since my kid had seen it on a social media app, I wasn't too confident that it would work. The kitchen was changed over night. It also states that house flies are not intended for, however it also captures them. Simply turned on the fragrance trap, added a little apple cider vinegar, and went to bed. We had to replace the glue trap after three days because nothing was left to attach on.
Aneesah Bond
Great service after the sale.
Presley Vaughan
On products like this, I've read a lot of conflicting opinions. However, I required something because I reside in a farming community where there are numerous fruit flies and gnats. This device is fantastic; it even caught a sizable fly and, in my estimation, a few mosquitoes! I am overjoyed that I purchased it. I did give the top bulb a small amount of apple cider vinegar, which I think made it function even better. I'm overjoyed!
Efa Mcneil
Great zapper, gone in one day!
Charlotte Welsh
Not at all, and my house has been free of mosquitoes since I purchased this insect catcher. Yes, it is definitely worth the cost. In Florida bug state, I reside. I'm very happy with this purchase.
Romilly Allan
I really don't understand what the other reviews are saying. We bought this device 11 months ago, and every two months or so, flies or mosquitoes fill it up. The image shows a trap that has been in the machine for about two months and is completely full of things. Just put it next to any fruit you have and it will work. The one-star reviews are completely wrong. I don't know why they say it doesn't work or that the pictures of the trap are fake.
Montana Skinner
I'm revising my first review. I thought the product was broken, but it was my electrical outlet. Trap does a great job. I'm very pleased with the product. I had a problem with fruit flies. It cost hundreds of them in just a few days. I have tried other products, but none of them worked as well as this one.
Sufyan Martin
Works wonderfully! So simple to put together that you probably don't even need instructions. catches every last one of them. Night 1 is the first photo. Night 3 comes next.

How to get rid of moths without hurting birds
Tasnia Crosby
Normally, I don't write reviews, but with this one, I will! I've tried all the traditional methods to get rid of fruit flies, and while they do work, they don't work as well as this does. It works so perfectly it's unbelievable; totally worth the money!
Stan Dillon
I didn't know if it would work, but it's amazing. We always have a lot of bugs outside the garage, and they keep flying in and into the house. We got this to help, and after a few weeks, we caught a lot of fish.
Julia Hume
No matter what I tried, I've had a problem with pantry moths, and they still persisted. This product is doing excellently. The sticky pad has now been full for three nights. I have faith that the issue will go away in due course. Simple to use; just adhere to the instructions.
Braden Hill
I don't usually review things, but I had to for this one. We live in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by woods and swamps. So, there are a lot of bugs here, and the mosquitoes always tried to eat me alive when I was in the house. Finally, there are no more mosquitoes or bug bites in my house. Works awesome.
Samira Petersen
My second Katchy is this one. I still have my old one, which is the other version (the first one arrived broken, and customer service did an excellent job of resolving my problem). Each is excellent. Both products perform as promised, and I'm happy with them.
Jaydn Warner
Fruit flies are collected well and held until they can be thrown away.
Missy Melendez
I don't usually write reviews that quickly, but I've had this running for hours and it's already caught a lot! So why not look at it again now? It's also fun to watch them get sucked in, and the "click" sound reminds me of those patio shock traps. I've been annoyed by the flies for weeks, so now it's their turn. I put some cider vinegar in a small bottle cap and put it on the round surface under the light. It works great, and they are all over it. Overall I am happy
Antony Mcnamara
My home is infested with little gnats from spring through October. Up to this product, nothing appeared to work. Will purchase a second one for the bedroom.
Hanifa Foley
I love this machine. It's worth five stars. I won't ever use anything else for knat issue
Rahul Wallis
I wish I had known there was a second generation before I got this one. Still works sometimes great...
Patricia Salazar
I had a bug buzzing around my head at night, so I bought this. When I changed it a week later, I didn't expect to see what I did. I just wish they were a little less expensive so I could buy one for every room in my house. This is a great product, so don't hesitate to buy it!
Ajwa Guevara
My fruit flies were eliminated with the aid of this product. It really did work! You don't need to use their adhesive as they only provide 3. Others are available at Home Depot.
Victor Maddox
I had a problem with fruit flies and tried everything to get rid of them, but they kept coming back. This device has stopped them. It took several days, but it was well worth it, to get rid of all the bugs. I knew it worked because there were so many bugs on the sticky pad. I would highly recommend this tool!
Nathaniel Andersen
most gnats are caught by this. However, it won't get rid of them if you live in an area where there are many of them. but will undoubtedly bring you some comfort. In one week, mines collected more than 25 gnats. The fact that it only takes one gnat to drive you nuts really helps!
Buddy Ali
I had more trouble than I thought with annoying little bugs. Even if you caught three or 100 of them at a time in a glass of vinegar, it wouldn't solve the problem. But Shieldeck did. It didn't happen all at once, but I can't remember the last time I saw one of those annoying bugs. Thank you!
Roma Betts
Likes: It doesn't take up a lot of counter space; we nestled it beneath the sink between the fruit bowl and the compost bin. We have a LOT fewer flies in our condo. the hub of annoyance flies! The "auto on/off" is weird as hell! The machine repeatedly turns itself on and off until we switch it back to manual whenever there is any change in the ambient light, such as morning, sunset, dimming the overhead lights, or opening the refrigerator! • The fan could be MUCH stronger! I vouch for the fact that numerous flies have perched on the glowing ring SOLELY to take use of the "soft breeze" at the highest setting! all the while giving me the side eye! • For our family, this was a luxury even with a discount... The pricing should be significantly less given its restrictions.
Abida Beltran
First time I've ever written a review! But had to do it for this product! I was going crazy because there were so many fruit flies in my house. I tried everything I could think of to get rid of them, but nothing worked. I bought two of these on a whim, and so far they have saved my sanity and gotten rid of most of the bugs. I've told my friends how great this product is, and I'm so glad I found it because it saved my sanity. Just BUY it! You won't regret it!
Carla Donovan
I had no choice but to buy this. We had a problem with fruit flies for two years, and we tried everything to get rid of them. Drains that need to be cleaned, fly paper, and those stupid little plastic apples filled with liquid that are meant to attract and drown the little jerks... We had tried all of them. The flies kept coming back again and again. We cleaned out the cabinets and threw out food, but nothing worked. Then we bought these, which are like Chuck Norris for catching fruit flies. Be ready, because it will take about a week before you can walk into your house in the morning, turn on the lights, and not see a cloud of flying bugs. The trap is easy to spot. Peel off the back of one of the glue discs, put it in the bottom of the trap, and then turn the trap on. Make sure all the lights in the area are off so that the little twerps don't fly straight to the light. After the first day, the discs were full of the dead bodies of my enemies. I just kept switching them out, and every day the numbers kept going down. I'll still see a few little raiders, but not nearly as many as before.
Timothy Stevens
It's nice and did exactly what I needed it to do.
Viola Mathews
I have two different bug catchers. One uses electricity to kill bugs, and the other is called the "katchy." It always has some kind of bug in it. I love it because it gets rid of mosquitoes and gnats. It's not meant to get rid of flies, but I always see one or two in there. It's a great product that's worth the money. If I could, I'd buy five of them.
Jayden-Lee O'Doherty
I have tried everything to get rid of those small animals that come back every spring and summer, including homemade fruit fly traps, fly swatters, and those sticky strips that leave residue on my walls. Everyone goes to the Shieldeck. I bought it with a coupon, but it would have been worth it even without the coupon. The only problem is that it only comes with four sticky pads, so you'll need to order a second set of glue board refills (8). You might not need them right away, but you probably will at some point. Also, the first two nights I used it in my kitchen, I caught 37 bugs.
Kaya Edge
It won't instantly magically capture all flying creatures, but it does function in a realistic way. Three days of use are shown in the photo. Our kitchen is now far more usable than it was in previous years.
Zahrah Cortez
I like the light because it's purple and works like a night light, so I can see at night when I'm up a lot because I work at night.
Lilianna Dixon
It performs flawlessly!
Vivian Pena
I love my Shieldeck! My apartment complex waters the grass several times a day, which, combined with the heat in Arizona, makes gnats that get in through the cracks in my door. I'm going to buy another one because there are so many gnats now. Can't wait to see how many mosquitoes I can catch once they start to come out of hiding.
Zayna Mullins
I adore this item! We were terrible, and I swear I had a gnat infestation! Within hours of starting it, it started to make a difference. I can now live in peace in my home once again now!
Kodi Sykes
It is effective. It was part of a multi-pack that I bought (trap with refill sticky rounds & fruit fly traps). The sticky refill rounds being too big to fit in the machine really bummed me out. If anything is sold in a multi-pack, it should fit with the other items you are buying. Complete waste, I
Tye Harper
Even though I'm not a scientist, it seems like mosquitoes tend to fly toward the TV or computer monitor when we're watching TV in a dark room. So I decided to give this a shot, and I'm glad I did. This works great and is nice and quiet. We never liked the bug zappers outside because they kill both good and bad bugs, but we figured that if the bugs got into the house, we didn't want them there anyway. We plugged it in and left it in our mudroom/utility room, which is the room closest to the door we use to go in and out. We were amazed at how well it worked. The pictures show what happened after about 3 days. Quite a few mosquitos. I don't think anyone has complained yet about getting bitten inside the house. It's actually very quiet. If you get really close, you can hear a very faint white noise. It has a normal setting and a low power mode for when you want it to be even quieter. The kids liked it so much that they asked for their own units to put in their rooms. Could also function as a nightlight. One sticky pad seems like it will last a really long time, and the box has some extras. If you need to, you can always order more. Overall, we're very happy, and the only thing we wish we had done differently is gotten it sooner.
Tiffany Rees
I now have two of these. It's great at getting rid of gnats. We had a problem for a while with other small flies, and it caught those, too. It caught a house fly last night. We don't usually have those at home, so I was surprised that it caught something that big. I wouldn't be able to sleep with the fan and light on because I think they are too loud and too bright. But we have them in the living room and kitchen, so that's not a problem.
Sohaib Tate
I adore this item
Eugene Schmitt
It functions as it should, however ordering replacement glue mats is cumbersome. It ought to be a universal fit for all, but it isn't. To purchase the proper refills, you must be aware of the precise model of the device you own. MAKE IT UNIVERSAL, SIMPLY! The similar issue with Dyson's filters exists. Without consulting the handbook, nobody is able to identify the machine's model! Who retains a bug trapping manual? Good stuff, however because I purchased the incorrect size glue refills, it won't last more than a few months. Why? because I was unsure of the machine's model. or the city where it was produced. or who produced the plastic used to make it. After a few glasses, we humans do not bother to recall the model of the bug traps we purchased on Amazon after noticing fruit flies fluttering around the kitchen. In conclusion, nice bug trapper. poor refill system Review finished

I had a problem with fruit flies, and the little traps we had kept falling over, spilling the vinegar liquid that was supposed to attract the flies. So, I started looking for something else to do. I don't remember exactly how I found Katchy, but I think it was because Amazon suggested it. I thought the price was a little high for a possible scam, but I really wanted to get rid of the little flies. Katchy does a good job of catching those little buggers. I just changed the disc, even though I probably didn't need to. Inside, I found a couple of dozen tiny fruit flies, one regular (large) house fly, and a couple of other flying insects I couldn't identify. Katchy doesn't LOOK bad, but it's an odd piece of kitchen equipment. Still, if you have a few flies, it might help you get rid of them. I just hope it lasts for a long time.
Todd Anthony
I put this in my daughter's room because bugs seem to come to her at night when she's sleeping. It caught mosquitoes, gnats, no-see-ums, moths, and house flies. The disk at the bottom is very sticky and stays that way for a long time. I'm very happy with this gadget!!
Isla Browning
In the reservoir, I combined honey and apple cider vinegar. It quickly became overrun by flies. I suppose I'll soon need to purchase additional stickers. It could definitely be a little quieter.
Cory Sanchez
I really like it! My home was a living hell. We're almost done with knats!
Shayne Holden
Gnats and mosquitoes are seasonal problems for us, and this item genuinely effortlessly and quietly captures both. Simple to assemble, keep up, and manage.
Jack Brennan
In my bathroom alone, there are about 30 plants. Even without using any liquid, it already outperforms the Katchy 1. With this one, both the light and the fan's intensity are adjustable. It's catching flies and gnats like crazy even though I don't even have it set to the strongest level. I have a lot of plants in my other two Kachtys, and I'm preparing to get a third.
Cassian Villanueva
I really like this small machine. Priced right. Quite a few fruit flies are caught. Use it at night when all the lights are out. Don't use it for longer than 24 hours. Most of the time, I turn it on before bed and off when I wake up. The glue on the trap could be better. When you turn it off, some of the flies will be strong enough to get out. But excellent product.
Giorgia Hough
Gnats and mosquitoes are caught overnight, and the sticky trap counts them. I bought the white one. wonderfully combines on the kitchen counter. safe, efficient, and quiet. The reservoir with a drop of Dawn and apple cider vinegar also works.
Elmer Li
I've read some persons who lament their lack of employment. I was hesitant to buy it, but let me assure you that it is a wise investment. I combined it with a little bit of dish soap and apple cider. It worked quickly and has manual and automatic switching options. These effectively repel fruit flies and fungus flies (ones usually attracted to dirt near plants)
