Works Well for Catching Mosquitoes, Fruit Flies, and No-See-Ums
Leticia
This device attracted and collected a LOT of fruit flies. The fan is really key. I watched many a fruit fly struggle to resist the fan's gentle vortex, nearly always losing that battle, causing them to be tossed against the sticky glue board to meet their demise.

I usually wait several months before I review a product. However. This product worked the night I received it.We have a lot of plants in our house.Plants in water, plants in soil.We also have recently had a problem with what i'll call fruit flys. Not 100% sure what they are technically.I don't really care either. They are annoying to say the least.
Abigayle B.
We had been battling fruit flies for 6 months. Every time I thought their numbers were dwindling, a new cloud of them would show up. Every evening at dinner time they would join us at our meal. It was getting gross and had passed the point of frustrating.
I impulse bought this product as a last-ditch attempt to thin the fruit flies. It seemed like the only product that was like this that had all good reviews.
It was super simple to setup (took maybe 1 min). We put it in the kitchen, turned it on, and hoped for the best.
To our complete surprise, every day there were fewer and fewer flies. We have been running it for several months and it is a magical device as far as I’m concerned.
Anabella
This thing completely works. We have had some flies come home with fresh fruit or veggies and then they end up in this thing. Our home is 100% free of fruit flies and has been for a long time.
Oliver
I use it for mosquitos that infiltrate my snail tank (no fish in it to eat the mosquito larvae) that I raise to feed my puffer fish. Although mosquitoes aren't attracted to UV light, just having the device near the snail tank seems to be pretty effective as I have already caught about a half dozen mosquitoes in a week. The ability to power it on for 6 or 12 hours is also great, so you don't forget to turn them off if you have multiple in each room. They also don't require a big bulky power chord, just a simple 5V USB cable.

What a lifesaver this device has been! I've been trying to get rid of mosquitoes in my kitchen forever and a day and this has made all the difference! It really does work and I noticed it works better if you use it at night. I'm looking forward to using it in other areas of my house where I have issues with mosquitoes. For some reason I am the only one who gets mosquito bites, so I am super thankful I purchased this!

Fruit flies get sucked in right away. Larger flies just sit and congregate on top of the fan. But eventually, whether lulled by the light or fatigued by the relentless fan, they finally fall through and get audibly donked by the fan onto the sticky sheet. A single night removed all the large flies.
Elias
Night one I hooked it up in my bedroom (because who likes to be devoured while they sleep) and got a couple within the first hour. Decided the light was a little too bright in my room and moved it to the kitchen bar. I was so shocked to find so many mosquitoes when I check it the next morning.
Salvatore
Not meant for but works on large flies.

OMG Mosquitoes are Gone!!

I almost cried it worked so well!

My friend recommended this trap to me, so I took a chance. We've had all these gnats in the house recently. Well, after a day of using it, I'll say it works!
Jaelynn
Worked after just 1 day!

A funny-looking retro-futuristic device that looks like it could have been designed by the Dyson company (it's not). The way it works is rather simple but ingenious; it uses UV light to attract bugs into it, and then wind force to overpower the bugs wings and sucks them down into a glue trap where it holds them there until you're ready to replace the glue trap.
Justine A.
Simple concept that works; no chemicals, odors, noise, etc.

Best way to deal with smaller flying insects!
We could not get rid of the fruit fly infestation. I had tried all of the home remedies. We had tried traps. We had tried alcohol + soap. Emptied a closed garbage daily. Scrubbed and cleaned counters, sink, drain, disposal, etc.

If you're on the purchase cliff.. jump, it's totally worth it's weight in gold! My husband and I would have the “occasional” tiny fly dive bomb us while watching TV or more horrifically, buzz past a guest when we had company! We would set out a glass of wine or bit of apple cider vinegar at night and we’d catch “that fly,” only to find its best friend in week or two. After about 6 months of battling the fly party, we decided to step up our game. I did a bit of research and found this really cool looking insect trap, for sure, this was going to get “that fly.” I ordered, it came and we eagerly set it up. This trap looks super cool and literally has no sound to its fan. We went to bed and woke in the morning to the fan turned off… The timer worked perfectly!! We popped the bottom off and to our immediate horror… it was FILLED with tiny flies!!! Some were fruit flies, some were smaller, like plant flies and one Asian beetle… we don’t know where it came from but are glad it’s not in the house anymore! We literally thought we had a couple flies in our house, we were sadly mistaken. “That fly” was actually a colony of the little buggers! GROSS!! We have since moved the fan from room to room and eradicated our pest problem. It did take about 4-5 weeks of it running nightly but it’s all under control now. And the best part is, if they come back, we already own the best fly catcher in town! Thank you for the great product, we recommend it as often as we can.
Hope C.
I had construction work going on in my place for about two weeks, and decided to proactively get some thing to catch all of the flying bugs that would certainly be plaguing my place. I actually leave it on during the day as well as the night while I know there’s flying insects in my home and just turn the light off in the room where the device is. It works
Enrique G.
Was skeptical, but works great!

Has proven itself quite useful

We’ve been overrun by mosquitoes this summer. Between the 95+ degree weather and monsoon like rain. I’ve been looking for any solution I can find. We have the sprays, the candles, etc. but they work after the mosquitoes are around you. This draws the bugs away and traps them.
I’ve run it the past three nights and have noticed a substantial difference.
Plus, I love how you can use ANYWHERE
Emanuel S.
This device probably popped up for me because I’ve bought basically every other kind of method to catch flying pests in my kitchen! I’ve got sticky traps and bowls of vinegar and soap up the ying yang. Even tried one of those outdoor lantern ones indoors, but it wasn’t very effective because the flies were way more attracted to the fruit and plants. But when I found out about this device, I got it because it seemed promising.
Yasmine M.
We have recently tried the decorative fruit fly catchers. The type you use fruit fly bait or water ,apple cider vinegar and dish detergent. They have caught 0 bugs in the month we have had them.I saw this online.Read reviews and thought id give it a try.I put it in my bedroom on low.Woke up this morning to 4 dead bugs.My son put it his room this evening .Looked at trap tray out of curiosity and said there were about 10 more on sticky pad.
Troy R.
Amazing results, looks great too!

Excellent product! There had been a bad mosquito issue in Los Angeles this year. No matter what we do these little things get into the office. I put this trap in my house the day I got it. I turned it on and let it run all night. When I arrived to the office in the morning the 1st thing I did was check the trap. 8 mosquitos and a few other insects. I am ecstatic that I got this and highly recommend buying this.

If you are on the fence about purchasing one, maybe this will help. This is a very elegant looking device. Yes, I know that may sound silly considering what its function is, but really, you could easily place this anywhere as a work of art! It is beautiful to look at. Very well made too. The attractant light built into the top has a beautiful soft glow to it and the mode selector buttons have unobtrusive orange led indicators. It is very quiet. I am running mine off a USB hub with the included cord. Also comes with a a/c power adapter with a USB outlet. The glue discs are SUPER sticky and fit into the bottom. This is a very nice device. I am very pleased with it.
Angie B.
Have had mine for 1 day. Extremely impressed. Just ordered another unit. I needed something to control fruit flies. Really wanted to avoid the bug spray insecticide if it was possible. Tried this device along with a half dozen of the liquid traps. Score: Liquid bait traps =0, the Shieldeck insect trapper: over a dozen fruit flies the first day. Yay!

Beautiful, Quiet, Functional
Had a bunch of mosquitoes trapped in the house, set this up, next morning almost all the mosquitoes were gone. It does have a very low hum from the fan which pulls mosquitoes in. Also, the UV light does actually put out a blue light.
Alia W.
I have a problem with fruit flies, seems to work best at night when it's the only light in the room. I notice fruit flies like a white surface -- at least that is where mine seem to congregate, so I used some white-out to paint the fins white. The white lights up and provides a larger UV surface to attract them.
Elizabeth P.
Works pretty well. While I do not have a mosquito problem, I have a ‘fly’ thing is problem. The device works (and works well, I might add). I was initially skeptical and wondering why it wasn’t a $20 device, and it’s because it has good standing just looking at reviews alone as being a problem remediator (actual merit for it’s ability to do what it says). The only drawback is having to operate it without illumination in a room, which isn’t a concern with the product itself and more environmental. I would have ordered a bigger version with additional lighting to cover a broader area if available. In the picture you see about a months’ worth of running, I suspect these things are very quick and are difficult to see with the naked eye, living on organic material and quite a nuisance I will add.
Jennifer
Works like magic! In the heat and humidity of Florida summers, the gnats can drive one insane. I had tried fly-tapes, but they don't work--they catch 'em, but they are SO messy (touch one with the elbow of a shirt, and by the time you've gotten loose, the shirt is ruined). Sprays don't work that well--they can't keep up with the gnats' reproductive rate--and you toxify everything else in the room. The Glowtrap is working great so far! There are 7 house flies in it right now! I’m so far pretty satisfied. Will leave it on overnight and see what else we get!

Great product, Great Seller!
We are plagued with mosquitoes. We don't like spraying chemicals in the house, so I tried this product as a last resort. Oh my gosh, we would not have suffered so many bites had I bought this sooner! The first day - first day! - I counted 10 mosquitoes on the sticky board inside the device. 10! yea!
Kevin P.
Best bug catcher!! Love the sleek design
Daniel
This thing is pretty awesome. It is pretty clear this is straight out of China, but the design and performance are both spot-on. It has a nice matte black finish and the "supernova" light actually looks kind of cool. I appreciate that something like this doesn't have to be an eyesore.

The UV lights are bright, and the fan pull feels strong enough to trap gnats, fruit flies, and mosquitos. I put it by the trashcan where I was having a problem and they all seem to have disappeared! But I checked the 'sticky paper' that I placed inside the unit... and yep, it definitely caught one of them! Though I was expecting to find more, it still took care of the issue. I definitely recommend this unit!

The Cremax mosquito trap arrived today, and I was very excited to receive it since we expect to run into many mosquitos and annoying flying bugs while camping this summer. It is USB powered, so I plugged it in to my portable charger and it fired right up! I've yet to see it suck in a bug, but I could hear the motor going. The color is a bit different than what's on the box (white), but it matches the color featured on Amazon (black). The noise is very quiet, less noisy than a space heater. It doesn't smell either, and the lights are gentle. Can't wait to use it in a tent where it can really be put to use!

After reading about aggressive mosquito species which have invaded California, and getting attacked by mosquitos in my home and shop, I began looking for a solution. Because it operates on USB (minimal electrical current), I wasn't sure if this device would attract and trap mosquitos effectively, but now I'm very happy I took a chance on this product. The instructions say to give it at least 3 days to start working, so I was amazed to see the sticky pad covered with mosquitos after the first 12 hours of use! This thing is awesome! I now have two of these and will likely buy at least one more for my home. There are much more expensive devices out there, but in my opinion, the GlowTrap Mosquito Trap is all you need. It uses very little electricity, delivers no high voltage (loud) kill zaps, and is instead very quiet. Any mosquito attracted to it has no chance for survival! One more thing - I love the design!
Cris
Pros:
- Completely chemical free, no weird smells
- No zapping so no constant noise or smell
- Quiet fan operation. Only audible when close to the fan.
- Cool design: it looks modern and sleek.
- Easy to use - very intuitive.
Cons:
- It doesn't come with a power block, just a USB cord.

We bought this as there seemed to be an elusive mosquito feasting on the legs of my wife and daughter. For 3 nights straight, the mosquito's bites led to multiple red, swollen bites all over their legs. Out of desperation, we looked to Amazon to find our solution. Based on the reviews and cost effectiveness of this product, we ordered it and it was well worth it!!! We plugged in the trap the night we got it. It's very easy to use and set up. At first, I was thinking to myself, "This is really going to attract and trap the mosquito/bug??" as it seemed small and so simple. It proved me wrong! We used it that first night and in the morning, we looked into the base where the sticky sheet is and lo and behold, there was one bug caught - the MOSQUITO!!! My wife was thrilled and after that day, no more bites!!! We keep using it now and then and we see small bugs/flies being caught so we know it's working well! You can't go wrong with this trap! Give it a shot and you won't be disappointed!
Patricia
I've had this product plugged in for two weeks now and it's already caught some small fruit flies and mosquitoes which is great! It's quieter than other models, and actually looks better/more modern too.
Sidney L.
I have to admit...I was skeptical... But it DOES WORK! Both tiny and large bugs are attracted to the little blue lights and then they get sucked into the pit and apparently do not know how to get out? I found gnats, mosquitos and even a big ol’ housefly in there. I originally got it because we had a couple little mosquitos floating about, but I figure it will be helpful the next time those pesky fruit flies come around...
Caroline K.
After living in CA and PA, I just discovered these tiny little bugs called noeeums here in FL. Although, we have a screeened in porch, they are so tiny that they can come in through the screens. The bug trap works great for these tiny nuisance. The trap doe not make any sounds and is the size of a small fan. My only complaint is that it does not have a self charging battery pack, other than that I am really happy with my purchase.
Eric R.
To be honest, I was a bit skeptical that this fancy looking device, that looks like it could have been made by that British company that makes cool vacuum cleaners. It is early fall in Central Florida and the mosquitoes are really bad. Just opening the door ensures that you'll get several in the house. So I read up on different devices, and picked the Shieldeck Indoor Insect Trap Bug Zapper.
And boy oh boy does it work. They provide a few sticky pads for it and after a couple of days, not only did we have those dang nasty Mosquitoes, but a ton of gnats, something I didn't even realize we had a problem with.
This thing is quiet. Very quiet. It has three time functions on it: Continuously On, 6 Hours or 12 Hours. The LED lights that attract the bugs are really neat looking. At night, they give a really nice glow.
If you have ever considered something like this, I highly recommend this unit. You will not be dissatisfied.
Gerard P.
I live in Florida, close to water, where we get a lot of mosquitos. Being obsessed with rain, and unable to put a screen on the door, I often stand in the doorway watching the rain. When looking for an indoor mosquito catcher it was important for me not to get gouged by having to buy glue paper over and over. This was def a great alternative that does the job.
Miles
This mosquito trap catches flies effectively. The light attracts the flies and blows them inside the device. It is also quiet so it does not disturb anyone. The size of it can fit anywhere in the home. As for the design, it is elegant and modern so it is not an eye sore at all. I've put this in my living room where there was a ton of flies, and it managed to catch a lot of them! I think I will be getting more and putting them outside and inside other rooms. I think this trap was worth getting for sure!
Easton
This mosquito trap is VERY quiet (especially compared to the other brands outgoing trap). The auto day/night sensor is perfect for this type of device as well. Plus, no "glue pads" so this one empties much like a bagless vacuum with a type of trap door in the bottom of the trap. I'll be getting 1 more for the other exterior door to my house.
Roman
Bought this to keep masquitos away from my little girl during her sleep. Product looks well built and durable. Easy to operate with 1 button on/off control. The idea behind this to use the light to attact the masquito then the fan will suck it into the trap. To be honest that it surprised me that 2 masquitos were trapped the next moring. Been using it every night since then, good value buy.
Angel
This mosquito catcher has a nice look on tit, black with gold, with infared blue lights when it turns on. Can be used indoor or outdoor. Perfect for the courtyard or patio or even inside where all the pesty bugs are flying around. I like using it in our courtyard where we hang out. Theres always some flies or mosquitos or fruit flies flying around in the kitchen. Tip on that is turn off the lights n keep the mosquito catcher on. Usually they look for light, soo boom catched! It comes with a usb but no plug, but im sure everyone has those outlet plugs around from old gadgets.
Ezekiel
The weather is getting hot now and mosquito becomes a big problem. I was looking for the mosquito zapper but end up get this one instead. After test it out in my patio for whole week I have to say it did an amazing job way better than I expected. I was doubting it will work cause it looks like a small fan with some led lights on top but after few days tested as you can see in the photo...that's a WOW.....it did a great job! The unit is quiet and no problem to use indoor and the led light is not that bright so even in the bed room that should be an issue. Unfortunately it didn't come with the power adapter so you need to have your own and another thing is when bugs trapped inside they not gonna die right away it takes few days to dry them out and dead so I did more research found some others brands has a sticky glue board on the bottom when the bug sucked inside the trap they will stick on it even still alive. Otherwise when you clean up the trap those not dead bugs flying out all around you I am sure that's not what you want.

We have an awesome back yard, but there's one thing that ruins all of that - the darned mosquitos! We found this and are very hopeful that it works as well as we think it might. For some reason when I ordered it I envisioned a device that was the size of a small room air filter, but this is much smaller than that, which is a good thing - it is small enough to be non-intrusive if it's on a table or at the side of the deck.To note, this works off of USB power, which is also a good thing - I plugged it into the external charger we have for our phones, and it powered the mosquito trap perfectly! The lights are not ultra bright, and the system to empty the mosquito carcasses is relatively easy to manage.Noise-wise, the trap is VERY quiet - it does make a slight discernible noise, but it's definitely not annoyingly loud, so it won't interrupt conversations. So far so good, now we just have to try it when the mosquitos actually emerge in the next month or two. I'll update this with my findings at that time!
Santiago
Feels well made, sturdy and comfortable to hold and use.
Connor
Easy move to anyplace near human sitting
Cameron
Works like a charm. Blue light attracts the bugs and the fan pulls them in. Great for the summer!
Hunter
I love that this is portable. Works great when guests come because it can come with us at whichever place we are doing our outdoor entertaining. People see it and aren't sure what it is, until the zap!
Nolan
Very quiet but works great. I used it while reading outside and didn't get a single mosquito bite! Made of quality material and looks sleek
Jonathan
Great mosquito trap. Just in time for the warm weather. This also doubles as a fly trap indoors especially if you have a lot of house plants. Great product works really well to keep pests away.
Landon
Took this on vacation with us. Didn't take up much room in a bag AND zapped those suckers like no tomorrow! So glad I brought this...and then remembered to take it with!
Eli
This mosquito trap can automatically detect the surrounding light to turn on and off the machine, which is really user-friendly . Moreover, it is not applying any chemical ingredient to kill the insect. Therefore, it will not damage our or pet's health. I really recommend people to buy this since summer is coming, and there definitely will be many insects in the house needed to be killed!
Aaron
Very quality item. You can barely hear the fan and build quality is great! Looks like a high end item. Still too early to test for as an actual trap but I wouldn’t be surprised if it does a great job!
Elias
Try it, so far I like it. Easy to set up and don’t make lots of noise. Only one thing I wish it could pre charge the battery so you can use it any where you want don’t have to to plugged in near by the plugs.
Colton
I live nearby the river, when summer arrives, I always see a lot of mosquitos around my house and if I forget to close the door or screen windows, mosquitos will come in. This mosquito trap is useful for me to use especially at night, without any sound the next morning I can see mosquitos died inside, it saves my night sleep.
Maverick
I got this for the fruit flies whenever we leave out fruits in the kitchen. They havent come yet because the weather is not hot enough yet but i'll be prepared for this summer! :) Plugged this in and was suprised at how silent it was. I was expecting some noise but nope! Also, the design is slick and its not big. My mom couldnt even tell what it was for until i told her lol
Christian
This is a nice looking, small but functional mosquito trap machine. My wife used it for fruit flies. She left it running in the night and in the morning found 4 fruit flies lying on the base. Two good feature worth mentioning are:-1. It has light sensor that has a cover, so you can run it any time during day by covering the built-in cover. else remove the cover and it will run only in the night when it is dark.2. the tray to collect the dead mosquitoes at the bottom doesn't need to be removed, just flip it and clean it. no worry of losing the bottom tray ever.

Powers On, Can't Wait To Use It Camping!
Adrian
The description about the power cable and adapter is at the bottom of the page, stating it's via an USB cable. I wonder how many houses have USB outlets as the standard in order to plug in this device in addition to the short USB cable (about 4-ft). I tried the device by plugged it into a portable battery, for cellphone to test it. The design is nice and the blue UV light appears to attract insets. It caught a few flies (no mosquitoes and a moth during the life of the fully charged 10,000 mAh battery charger overnight. I'll need to purchase a power extension cable which contains USB ports in order to use this devise on a regular basis. Perhaps it's meant to be portable, for outdoor usage.

We have been having mosquito and fruit flies problems in my house. Can’t seems to find the mosquito in the room. Saw this product was a little skeptical if it works. We managed to catch two mosquito in the room on the first night. Left this machine in the kitchen overnight to see if we able to get some fruit flies. The next day we got over 6 fruit flies. This has worked perfectly highly recommended!

No noise mosquito trap...

Put it out on our deck. Kept the bugs away, and wasn't loud or obnoxious. Would buy again.

There was no resembling needed because this product came fully ready to use. It’s extremely effective especially at night. Love this product and would recommend to others definitely!!!
Josiah
It works well and a item was exactly as described. My mom was pleasantly surprised and happy with this purchase and how well this machine thing actually worked.
Louie
Great for indoors and out
Christopher
I love this machine it's so quiet only thing is I wish you can tell if it's on or off on the start button for the initial start luckily I guessed right I pushed it several times looking for a light to come on but other than that I love it so far!
Asher
Easy to operate and easy to clean. I put it in my bedroom and caught 5 mosquitoes in one night. It's safer than repellent for my kids and Pet. It's small enough to go anywhere. It is quiet and all I can hear is faint fan noise. I was really glad that I bought it.
