I was hesitant; however, this stuff worked after one night of use. It's always on and catches the fruit flies that I can't seem to get rid of.

I've been using it for a week and keeping it on 24 hours per the seller's advice. It works; I sweep up 10-12 mosquitos every morning. Unless you have a lot of mosquitos, it will take a few days to see a difference. The vendor is beneficial.

UPDATE: I stated I'd update if it worked. I've had this unit on for about a week, and the fruit fly cloud has substantially lessened. There are a few holdouts. But I'm a lot happier now than I was. Making sure the room was darkened helped. I have a TV and a light in this room. But the bathroom of that room gets the most incredible light. So I shut the bathroom door more frequently. Then the gnats/fruit flies disappeared. Now I'm very happy with the product.

Shieldeck is a master at catching gnats. Close the room's door as advised. We were shocked at how many bugs it drew in.

I got it to kill gnats in my kitchen. I am gnat-free after a week! I had to refill the sticky pad three times. I used an apple cider vinegar bait in front of the unit since they were more drawn to it than the light. I'd also advise running outdoors while unplugging the machine to replace the sticky pad since there may be some escaped in the bottom. I've already recommended it to others!

What a honey trap!! I didn't believe it was that hot since I didn't see the gnats being pulled into the vortex. I believed the vacuum was weak (and it certainly may not be for flies). Easy to install, zaps ankle-biters, and cleans up! My garage was infested with the new ankle-biter mosquito, whose bites were agonizing, disfiguring, and sluggish to heal. So I got two for the garage and patio. To use them, unscrew the bottom part, line up the sticky filters with the slots, push them to the device's base (behind the fan unit), peel off the sticky protective cover, replace the bottom part, plug it in, and turn it on at night (be careful of looking directly at the light that attracts the mosquitoes because it is very bright and irritating to the eyes if you look at it too long).
