In the reviews, a few people said that it doesn't catch flies. I'm here to prove that it does, in fact, catch flies. You just plug it in and leave it, and it really does catch a lot. The first two or three days, it doesn't do much, so just leave it plugged in. It's not cheap, but it does a great job, so I think it's worth it.

This is a wonderful thing. Does exactly what it's supposed to!

I wasn't sure if I should buy this because every other review seemed to say "this is the worst!" or "this is the best!

These are an assortment of my plants. I had to get rid of most of my plants a few months ago in an out of state move. At my new location, Lowe’s had these beautiful plants 75% off. I had to repot some. The potting soil MG was AWFUL! I tried everything to get rid of the fungus gnats in the MG soil. I am still fighting the fungus gnats. It was amazing to see actual results in this spot. The device is easy to use. It REALLY did attract the gnats in a short time. It was also very easy to replace the paper trap.

Mosquitos were terrorizing my wife all night so I bought one of these and put it in our bedroom to try out. The picture is what the glue trap looked like after a couple of weeks! We were so blown away by how well it worked that we bought 2 more for other places in the house to intercept some of them before they get to the bedroom. A wasp got in the house one day and I watched it immediately fly right into the trap. I honestly didn't think a wasp would fit into the trap, but it did! The fan is nice and quiet but has just enough "hum" for people like us that enjoy falling asleep to a little white noise. So, that's another plus. Also, beware of some of the knock-off versions on Amazon. I was about to buy one of them since it was a little cheaper and had a good rating, but then I noticed that ALL of the reviews had nothing to do with that product. The reviewers were describing makeup, bags, and all kinds of other things. You get what you pay for and I'm very happy I went with Shieldeck instead!

It worked right away. The gnats were taking over my life but caught a lot of gnats overnight. The unit is very easy to install and to use. Lightweight, hardly any sound from fan. Just plug in, turn on the two switches at the top and wait. Nothing to it. Don’t hesitate. It came right away.

This product actually catches gnats. I placed it around my household plants. After a week, the trap caught several gnats. I deducted a star because it didn't catch as many as I hoped. I think for the square footage of the area, I need another trap, which I'm going to order. I recommend purchasing the product.

I've had this set up in my room for about two days and it worked almost instantly! I had a lot of gnats in my room and they were always flying at my face and bothering me. I have only had it for TWO DAYS and it has caught almost all bugs that were bugging me (obligatory pun)! I highly recommend this product!!!

I like that it really worked. I used both inside a grow tent and in an open room. Works best at night with a dark room. Gnats are attracted to the blue light and inside they go and get stuck to the sticky paper. Definitely recommend.

We've had a big mosquito infestation ever since we moved to our new apartment, and I kept waking up with bug bites in the morning. It was driving us nuts. I am an avid gardener and have seed starts growing in my house quite often. This usually brings forth the battle of the bug (fungus gnats). This year, I purchased this light trap and set it near my grow station and it has helped immensely! Of course, the fungus gnats won't be completely gone until I put the plants outside for the year, but it sure does help.

Absolutely worth the money! I didn’t know where to start, we purchased a home in a new state and it seemed these gnats kept coming into the kitchen despite regular pest control. I purchased this on a whim and I am loving it! Every day I check it to find a bunch of gnats and a random fly or mosquito inside and it’s become one of the best gadgets we have in the house. I definitely recommend getting one if you’re suffering from a gnat problem. We like to have bananas around and because of this I never have to worry if it’s attracting bugs.

IF you are wondering about getting this... do it!! My goodness this has been one of the best purchases ever. Our screen sliding door got hole in it from a dog. This worked since day one and a month later it caught so many bugs. It feels good knowing my family and dogs are not going to get bitten by bugs this spring and summer. Such a help!

Ive had this for about a month now & wow! Honestly, I didnt think I really needed it but after seeing all of the gnats its collected (& some larger bugs), I purchased a second one as well. Perfect for an indoor plant collection!

I was skeptical about a device like this but after having been bitten up while sleeping I was desperate for something. I run it in my bedroom at night and haven't been bitten since - have used it for 3 weeks. Checked the bottom and there are some knats and a couple of mosquitos who would have dined on my while I slept. The light is purple and makes a nice nightlight and at first thought it would be too bright but maybe it's the tone of the light but it doesn't keep me awake. Nice little white noise with the fan as well. Great product.

I'm a vermicomposter (I use worms in a bin to recycle food waste into fertilizer). The one draw back to vermicomposting, is that it is easy to get little flying insects, especially when the bin lives in your garage. I currently have a fungus gnat problem. I have been using regular sticky traps, (along with diatomaceous earth and predatory nematodes) but they aren't making a dent. Ya'll, this thing gets to work fast. I set it up and within 5 minutes had 10-15 gnats trapped. I set it up next to a fresh sticky trap overnight, and will add a picture comparing in the morning. I have hope though that these nasty gnats are goners.

Annoying flies on my deck as spring arrives, this fly trap does help catching different flies, this is exact why I need the trap for. It's safe for pets, with a very quiet powerful fan, it sucks flies into the trap, the trap storage capacity is big so it can place more insects there. We just put it in the dark and magically it caught lots flies, it works great.

We had just sprayed our yard for mosquitoes. The next nite we placed the insects trap out on our screened porch for about 2 hours and this is what we caught. We plan on putting the trap in our daughter's room at nite. She's always getting bitten just like her father. We can honestly recommend this product.

I like how easy it was to set up and use and to change out the glue stips. The only thing I would add would be an off/on switch and quieter fan for indoor spaces.

I’d buy this again. It really does do what it says...did it get them ALL the first go, no...but it has severely reduced the number of mosquitoes in my home. Buy extra glue boards, it you’ve got as many bugs as I do you will go through them daily quick.

I think apple cider vinegar in a container covered with plastic wrap with holes is a more effective, dirt cheap trap - but it doesn't have a pretty blue light.

When I was putting it together I thought it was kind of fragile but it's not.Actually, it is very, very effective.It has been two days and it's almost time to replace the glue Board.I knew we had a problem with fruit flies but I didn't know it was that severe.Very happy with the purchase.

Great solution to gnats flying around indoors. We have many indoor plants that draw gnats. This trap is quickly getting rid of them and making the indoors peaceful again.

We don't have a huge bug issue and its not like we're going to sit outside that much on our patio in the summer in AZ. For the nights we do during the monsoon storms it will help with mosquitoes.

This was easy to set up. It is larger than I thought. We buy fruit/veg from the farmers market and sometimes it brings little gnats in. This worked so well to get rid of them. We take it outside with us on the patio. It has worked there too. It worked better in the evening as the mosquitos were attracted to the light.

I was bothered a lot by the fruit flies in the kitchen especially when I prepare some sweet fruits. Then I put this mosquito trap next to the trash can in the kitchen. It works properly to attract and catch the little insects. It relieves me from the trouble. BTW, it’s quite easy to assemble and won’t cost much electricity. One thing I’d like to mention is that it does generate some noise but under my tolerance.

This product it’s amazing! I could barely go to my backyard because of insane amount of mosquitoes, I thought I could never enjoy my backyard until I found this product.
